Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. I’m making it my next read.
“Why do beautiful songs make you sad?’ ‘Because they aren’t true.’ ‘Never?’ ‘Nothing is beautiful and true.”
This is a quote from Jonathan Safran Foer’s “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close”. Besides being an amazing book itself, it also helped me a lot.
My grandfather died last October. When I read this book, it had been only two months since. I never really said goodbye to him, and my godmother told me that he kept asking about me. I regret so much not going to visit him at the hospital…
The book is about loss, about family and about dealing with both. It is also my favorite book, besides Harry Potter :3
Also, maybe some things are beautiful and true…

One day I will own a pad like this.
Skyline view.
Fitted sheets.
And some wood.

Ah! dearest love, sweet home of all my fears And hopes and joys and panting miseries,— To-night, if I may guess, thy beauty wears A smile of such delight, As brilliant and as bright, As when with ravished, aching, vassal eyes, Lost in a soft amaze, I gaze, I gaze!
A skyline tattoo that I’ve always wanted but will never get because I’m afraid of needles.
I recently just got back from an amazing job in new york city with some amazing people. It was undoubtably the best 6 months of my life and I wanted to remember the city always.
Ive been obsessed with the beauty of the manhattan skyline since before I can remember and Ive been inlove with the city since about then too.
This tattoo is a perfect way to keep the city with me always and I am completly in love with it :)
